Each term classes will choose a different author to focus on. The books written by these authors will become our class daily reads, which we hope will promote enjoyment and reading for pleasure.

Pupils will be encouraged to select their own titles by the author for reading outside the classroom and share book reviews on the books they have selected with their peers. As part of the home learning menu, pupils will be set tasks linked to the class author. 

 The end of the term will see classes taking part in a book collective when pupils share what they have found out about the author, titles they have read and whether they would recommend any of the books.
