Thank you for your interest in Hope Community School Sidcup.
Children are at the heart of everything that we do and we believe that every child is an individual and has a unique offering to the school and the community in which they live. The Staff and members of the Governing Body are fully committed and passionate about improving opportunities for all of our students. By having the highest standards and expectations and a rich and varied curriculum, we will build on individual strengths.
We enable children to discover and respect themselves so they will be better equipped to respect and value others around them and encourage them to live by strong moral and spiritual values. Most importantly we want children to enjoy the school experience and for their whole-person development and growth to be nurtured.
Members of the School Governing Body volunteer some of our time to provide support to the school in a number of ways, using our experience from diverse and varied backgrounds. Our role is to hold those that lead Hope Community School to account so that they ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction, for the educational performance of the school, its children and its staff. We also oversee the financial performance of the school and making sure finances are well spent.
Our further roles include ensuring that the School’s performance is evaluated regularly so it continuously improves and to help provide the strategic direction for the School. We also ensure that any of the School's legal obligations are met and to make sure that the children of our community are given every opportunity to practice and develop their skills to so they can reach their fullest potential.
We look forward to welcoming you into this wonderful community.
